Irina Petrova from the village of Mstera is the talented artist responsible for this lovely composition. This is a beautiful example of traditional Mstera floral painting. The painting is enhanced throughout with fine gold decorative lines. This box is approximately 3" x 3" x 2.5". Skillfully painted flowers, leaves, graceful swirls form a single, complicated pattern of stylized plants. Painted in yellow, blue and green tempera paints the composition is richly detailed with lustrous gold paint. The sides of the box are richly decorated with golden ornamentation.
