Anita Baptiste's Santas

As exclusive dealers for Anita in Alaska, we are proud to offer a selection of her one-of-a kind handcrafted Santa's. A graduate of the Swain school of design in New Bedford Massachusetts, majoring in fashion design, she started making her own dolls out of scraps of cloth and other materials when the was just a child.

Now "semi-retired" and living in Arizona, she makes a limited amount of her exclusive Santa Claus for a select group of fine galleries in the US.

Each Santa Claus is an individual wonder, a unique work of art handcrafted and hand sewn by Anita using her one-of-a-kind costuming made from natural fibers, antlers, hand-cut leather, feathers, and fur! No two are alike, and many have a "Western", Alaskan, or Mountain-man flair. She hand-selects the finest leathers, exotic feathers, and finely tanned furs such as mink, fox or beaver. She then creates the most adorable and unique Christmas Santa that you can imagine. Her labor-intensive creations are not cheap, as each is a one-of-a-kind creation with many many hours of work involved. Each of her works is a labor of love.

Imagine one of her Santas as a Christmas table centerpiece; or add one to standout in your Santa Claus collection. Unique, one-of-a-kind, collectable, heirloom, wonderful, special, beautiful all are adjectives to describe an Anita Baptiste Santa, available through the Russian American Company gallery in Sitka Alaska.
