Product Overview
This lacquer miniature was created by Elena Serova of Kholui. This artist specializes in ornamental and floral compositions while using soft tones with realistic floral colors. In the center of this box is a beautiful butterfly with three daisies painted against black background. The flowers are painted in soft tempera paints. This scene is framed with an intricate gold pattern.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the left side, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name.The artist wrote her name, Kholui, and the title-"Summer Flowers". Approx. 5"x3"x1".
