Snowmaiden with little bird ready for Christmas. Beautifully detailed painting by Olga Churkina, who has been featured in books such as "Russian Matryoshkas" since the 1980's. Olga was by education an engineer, and this shows in her meticulous detail and symmetrical, intricate designs. The nevalashkas or "Rolly-Poly" dolls have a bell inside that rings when the doll is rocked back and forth. Approximately 5" tall. Signed by the artist.
