This is a beautiful large piece was done by World Class scrimshander David Adams. David Adams is a well known artist of scrimshaw with artworks displayed in private and public collections world wide. He is a painter of nature and fantasy; author, sculptor, jewelry designer and crystal carver. Brilliant composition by Adams on this one. This scrimshaw was made on an Ancient Alaskan artifact, it was used several hundred years ago. The ivory is mounted to another nice Ancient Alaskan artifact. This piece features a snow leopard with covered snow mountains. This was done on fossil walrus ivory artifacts and mounted on a walrus fossil ivory base. Measures 10 inches long and stands 3.5 inches tall including base.
