One of the most gifted Kholui artists, Kuznetzova, created this impressive box. Sitka is so beautiful that it got a name - "Paris of the Pacific".
The scene is mostly painted in green and blue tones that fit excellently for reproduction of a typical Sitka's weather.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the composition, and the box rests flat. The work is signed with the artist's name. Approx. 2.5"x3.5"x1".
