This gorgeous Russian lacquer miniature has been created by talented artist Smirnova Anna from Fedoskino village. On the box's lid the artist has painted a stormy marine scene. The waves are very high and strong.
The box's exterior is painted black. The box's interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer. The box is made out of paper-mache and the marine scene is painted on the mother of pearl. The box's lid is hinged from the top of the scene. The work is signed with the artist's name. This box measures approximately 7.5" x 6" x 2".
