A very large (16" inches tall), beautifully carved and painted Santa Claus. Bear lover's perfect Santa featuring a brilliant red Santa loaded with detail and holding three bear cubs in his arms and a toy bag over his shoulder. Red and Gold coat with an incredible amount of detail work and shading of leaves and flowers. His coat and regal hat are beautifully detailed in raised filigree in a multitude of colors, gold trimmed leaves and white pearlescent accents. The back of Santa's fur trimmed coat is painted in rich red and gold with equally impressive and elegant detailing and iridescent gold highlights that come to life with changing light.
He is a very happy Santa with friendly blue eyes. Extremely well done in every aspect. This Russian Santa is completely hand carved from solid linden wood. Unique, museum quality from head to toe, hand-crafted Santa is a one of a kind work of art signed by the artist Nikitina.
