This is a very stout Santa with large toy bag over his shoulder. Intricately painted in shades of gold and red with accents of silver and white.This Russian Santa Claus is hand carved from solid linden, also known as either basswood or lime and hand painted in remarkable detail with numerous coats and washes of paint. Approximately 10.5" tall and 5.25" wide. Signed by artist - Svetlana Tretiakova.
