Birch bark (Russian Beresta) is unique natural material. It has been used to make different articles of consumption such as fisherman's canoes, baskets, boxes, cases, caskets for keeping salt, flour, corn, grain, cereals, berries, cedar nuts as well as fine adornments.This handmade birch bark mirror is decorated with fine carved flowers ornament. The bark is harvested from farmed birch trees, which are used for commercial purposes for the production of lumber. No living trees are harmed!
