Product Overview
This small box is a creation of the Fedoskino artist Elena Yablokova, who is an admirer of cats. Here she has painted a charming kitten in a blue bow. The palette is chosen to give the kitten a touch of realism. The brushwork is very intricate and even allows a viewer to see the kitten's fur as if it were really furry. The box is constructed from paper-mache. The background lacquer is a light blue, pink and white and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed by the artist.
