Product Overview
This articulated and intricate design from this jelly fish jewelry collection features free moving silver and rainbow moonstone tentacles suspended from a carved fossilized ivory body.
Our jelly fish necklace design is probably one of our most intricate and unique assemblies. This jelly's tentacles are represented in iridescent rainbow moonstone and sterling silver beading—flexible and tactile accents. The remaining tentacles are made from solid sterling silver with an articulating joint at the pendant top, allowing these tentacles to move as well. The entire effect is almost lifelike and a truly singular piece of jelly fish jewelry .
The jelly's bell is carved from fossilized walrus ivory, a luminous material that is some 500 to 3,000 years old. The earth has colored this natural ivory soft creamy caramel to cocoa colors, and it is valued across the world for the quality it lends to jewelry and fine artisan crafts. Native peoples gather our fossilized walrus ivory after erosion or the tides unearths it, trading and selling it as they have for centuries.
