This nicely painted set of five nesting dolls depicts the figure of Russian Santa - Grandfather Frost - preparing to deliver gifts on New Year's Eve as is the tradition in Russia. The largest doll is approximately 7 1/2" tall and all the dolls have a matte lacquer finish. This remarkable Russian nesting doll demonstrates the best in Russian craft. This doll was hand carved and hand painted in Russia. Signed by an artist.
