Santa is dressed in his traditional red Christmas coat with white frosted trim. Santa's coat is painted in Christmas colors of red, green, gold and white using a floral pattern and painting technique which is quite rare and time consuming. The artist uses multiple (very thin) layers of paint to create extreme depth, almost like a veil or frost, to soften and give multiple tones.
This Russian Santa is completely hand carved from solid linden wood. Hand painted and signed by the artist Natalia Trifonova . Measures approximately 11.5" tall and 8" wide.
