This fantastic Russian Santa Claus in the blue winter coat is intricately hand painted by the artist to enhance details in the face, beard and costume. Russian Santa with animals of the forest - deer family and birds has a large toy bag over his shoulder. Back of this Santa is painted with a fantastic picture of winter night,snow covered cabin with mountains in the background. This Santa has matte finish. The solid linden wood is dried for almost 2 years before it is carved so it will last a lifetime. This Grandfather Frost (as he is called in Russia) is made in Sergiev Posad, Russia and is signed by the artist - Vladimir Shestobansky. Approximately 10.5" tall.
