Dressed in a fur coat to protect from the harsh cold, and bearing blessings for the New Year and gifts, this Father Frost reminds us that quite often good things can come in small packages. Made of fine linden wood, this piece is hand carved in Sergiev Posad. The tradition descends from the Russian Orthodox celebrations of Saint Nicholas, the miracle-worker and secret gift-giver. Approx 8" this Santa is a delightful addition to a Christmas tree. Signed by the artist Tatiana Makarova.
