This is a custom fixed-blade handcrafted Mosaic Damascus steel knife with handle made out of Black Hornbeam. Black hornbeam wood with a high density (700-800 kg / cubic meter) and hardness (according to Brinell, this indicator is 3.4). Carving and processing it is tedious and complicated, since the fibers have a twisted shape, but the end result is worth it.
German-silver (nickel/silver) cast butt and bolster give this hunter/fighter its unique presentation, and the hardwood handle has been hand-tooled to resemble spider web. Awesome collectable knife, or usable workhorse of a hunter or camp knife. Hard to imagine the hours of labor involved in this unique one of a kind example of Russian custom knifemaking at its best.
