The scene on the front of a snow covered church and stream at twilight with a little fawn ready for a drink of water is beautifully finished. Deer's family in the winter forest painted on the back of Santa's coat. Santa's cloak is painted in blues, greys and whites and Santa's mittens decorated with snowflakes. Several little birds are painted on Santa's gift bag. Backdrops of frosted winter landscapes are painted around Santa's cloak. Hand carved and hand painted in Russia. Signed by the artist - Vladimir Shestobansky. Approx. size - 13.5" tall.
