Fedoskino is the only Lacquer Miniature workshop which uses oils, giving the pieces a life-like appearance. This bright bouquet of field flowers has been painted by a talented Fedoskino artist, Morozova Irina.
The artist focuses the viewer's attention on a center, where we can see a bouquet of Canterbury bells and daffodils with butterfly. Using this contrast of colors and thin, detailed painting, the artist has managed to express the freshness of the bouquet. The painting is framed with a gold line.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the painting, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name and Fedoskino.This hinged box measures approximately 6" x 2.5" x 1".
