Product Overview
The work is called "Bullfinch" and features several children observing beautiful bullfinch.These red-breasted birds look very beautiful when they sit on the white snow. Many poets dedicated their verses to them. When summer comes the showy red breast of these birds disappears, and then the bullfinches look like ordinary birds.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition and the box sits on a wavy platform. Signed with the name of the artist, village and a title. This is a hinged box measuring approximately 6" x 4.5" x 1.5".
