No doubt, this attractive box will attract the attention of the amateurs of cats. It is one more box from Yablokova's ‘cat' series. Here the artist has depicted the charming black and white kitten. The scene is painted in the realistic style so skillfully that it seems that the kitten is photographed with the camera, but not drawn with a brush. Miniature painted on the Mother-of-pearl background.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene and the box rests on a flat bottom. Approx. size: 3"x2.25"x1.5".
