The theme of Russian Ballet is very popular among Fedoskino artists, and this work painted by Smirnova Liliya isn't exception.
The scene is framed with a gold line. Miniature painted on the Mother-of-pearl background.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. A hinge is fastened from the left of the composition, and the box rests flat. The work is signed by the artist. Approx. 4"x3"x1.25".
