Product Overview
This large weave lidded Yupik basket is woven from wild rye beach grass (taperrnat). It is decorated with complex geometric designs of purple and yellow, and red and orange dyed grass and red and green dyed grass. It is expertly woven, tightly coiled, symmetrical and well balanced. It is 13 ½” high by 39 ½” in circumference. It is in excellent condition. Ca 1970's. It is in excellent condition.
